Funny baby picture

We were having a family portrait session with their newborn baby and we had a picture blooper. We just had to share this picture as we thought it was way to funny not to let others see. The best part was the expression on the fathers face. Accidents happen all the time and it’s great that we have a camera ready to go to capture all those special little moments. In newborn photography “accidents” are bound to happen. Some of our clients feel bad when these little things spring up. It’s perfectly normal and we have all the supplies to make quick work or these tiny spills. Portrait photography can be dirty work but someone has to do it.

We had a awesome time shooting with the Largespada’s. I think we are going to have a model or two in this family. We shoot most of the pictures with a high key look with a white seamless paper background.

Luke and Jennie’s Wedding

Luke and Jennie got married on July the 15th, 2010 at Starved Rock in Utika, Illinois. It was a gorgeous day for a wedding with temperatures a lot cooler than Houston, Tx.

What Type of Equipment We Use

Our philosophy is to get the shot correct in the camera. Many photographers will simply make the photos “correct” in their editing software. We like to make sure the photos are correct the first time and if it needs a little bit of help we will enhance it later after the shoot. We don’t use software as a crutch for having a lack of proper equipment. It’s one of our pet peeves.

Here is a short list of what we bring on weddings and most shoots. Some of the gear gets more use than the others, but we always like to be prepared and have backups of everything.

Bridal at Houston Oaks

Last weekend we shot some bridal portraits at the beautiful Houston Oaks golf and country club. The weather rained us out the day before, but the weather the next day was beautiful and we got some great shots of Tosha before she runs off to Mexico to get married.
